Founder and Executive Director of Adventures In Missions, married to Karen, father of five wonderful children.
From Seth: It was only after completing business school and continuing on in ministry that I discovered what had been missing from my walk with the Lord all my life. It was intimacy. While I’d always heard about having a personal relationship with Christ, I never understood that it’s possible to hear His voice. I was at a retreat where Peter Lord spoke. And not only did I hear God speak to me in a very personal way, but I discovered for the first time what a personal relationship with God can be. Since then, I began to earnestly seek the Lord. Prayer became much more important to me. Evangelism became a passion. And now, late in life, I’m discovering experientially what it means to disciple others as I’ve discipled my own teenagers. I’m a work in process. I’ve found that the main thing one needs in a relationship with God is hunger to know Him and be in His presence.

Gersom Engels

“ My God is awesome and Holy, yet He is interested in me, Gersom, and I can draw near to him at any time. Music allows me to express my worship to God and give answer to the love He pours out upon our lives…”

Gersom Engels grew up in Bruges (Belgium) where church and music were a big part of his life. As a teenager Gersom was actively involved in leading worship in his own church, youth camps and Spirit Wings; Belgium’s first touring Worship band.

Gersom has been been involved in various musical projects as a performer, teacher, and producer in both secular and Christian settings, as well as within the field of special needs. In 2008 Gersom and his English wife Sarah felt it was time for a new chapter and they moved to England. They now live in the historic town of Ludlow where Gersom is feeling at home in his new surroundings and is already involved in the worship team at Living Waters Church. September 2009 also sees Gersom start a challenging new position as Head of Music at Cruckton Hall School – a specialist secondary school for autistic boys.
