Teaching Style
Friendship & covenantal thinking are foundational to our ministry. We believe in the “kitchen table” approach for impartation & personal development. Practicums, adventure, and teaching by great teachers & leaders will fill out the curriculum. Release into a life of church planting, ministry to the orphan & the desperate, or a life of entrepreneurial brilliance is what we seek for every participant. We long to see self-sufficiency in Christ and the ability to be grown-up enough to self-govern a life—all in the context of covenant.
Around the kitchen table, interns will be able to tap into decades of ministerial experience and apostolic
leadership. Kitchen table topics include “Character & Discipline” and “Servanthood,” and will value personal relationships, honesty, and growing as an individual and as a contributor to the community. In addition to the kitchen table, classroom instruction by skilled and experienced instructors will be a major part of the leadership academy. Delving into practical issues will allow interns to hone their skills and open their eyes to the needs of the world.
Practicum missions will be held throughout the 6-month term, which will challenge interns to use what they’ve learned and to stretch their comfort zone of working with people and global ministries.
